Recently the faculty of Zeman Elementary school published a pamphlet outlining what the victims of bullying should and should not do.
While it is one of the most outrageous things I’ve read in a long time, it is also a very good reflection of how schools all over this country feel bullying should be dealt with. It is sad but seems to be the prevailing attitude- just don’t anger the bullies, let them do whatever they want to do. If you try and stop them they’ll just get worse. Fear has taken all common sense from our schools and the result is insensitive pamphlets like this one. This is my response to the Principal of Zeman Elementary School and her flyer:
